Mumbai, Mar 29: Afraid of facing the wrath of a  cheated husband, a jewellery shop worker beheaded the man whose wife was having an illicit relationship with him,  on Tuesday night.

Sameerdas Motu Krishnadas (27) killed Robin Mondal (37) as the latter had came to know about Sameer’s affair with his wife, Savitri.

According to Senior Inspector Vilas Joshi, Kurar Village, “Robin started torturing Savitri the moment he came to know about her affair with Sameer. This enraged Sameer who first got Robin drunk and then beheaded him. Sameer was caught by local adivasis.”

The murder took place at 12.30 am near Pimipiripada at Kurar village. The accused was caught by the adivasis staying on the hills of Pimipiripada who heard the victim scream.

Seeing the adivasis, the accused started running, but slipped down the hill and fractured his leg. The adivasis handed him over to  the Kurar Village police. Sameer is now recuperating at Bhagwati Hospital.
