Mangalore: NABARD officials visit Belapu bank

Mangalore, Nov 1: Various bank representatives and their teams visited to study the AC Bank functioning and the timely operations of the self help groups.

The progress which was achieved was clear to the deposited funds of villagers from rural areas among themselves without any external support.

There was a discussion held with the Belapu AC Bank president Deviprasad Shetty aboutcertain bank dealings. NABARD officer V Suresh said that 32 officers from Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka’s  from managerial level of various rural banks and nationalized banks along with Nabard and Apex officers visited and collected opinions.

"We have examined the financial functions such as the money transactions, loan and its recovery and meeting details of Navodya Self help groups which comes under the Belapu AC Bank. This visit was held to study the achievement of Navodhya Self Help Groups and also to implement in other states," said Suresh.

Apex Officer Nagaraj Mayya, PV Shivaram Mayya, Belapu AC Bank vice president Niranjan Shetty, director Y Yashawanth Shetty, SR Bangera, Abha Saheeb, Sugana S Chandrashekar and Kanthi of Navodhaya Self Help Group.
