London, Oct 30 (IANS): The search continues for a 35-year-old Indian-origin woman who went missing Oct 23 in the British city of Bradford.
Seemberjeet Kaur from Wibsey, mother of a three-year-old child, was last seen at Roberts Park, Saltaire, in the city Oct 23, the Telegraph & Argus reported Wednesday.
Kaur was reportedly under medication for depression.
She was supposed to collect her daughter from nursery school but did not turn up.
Her husband, Baljeet, raised the alarm when the school contacted him to inform him that no one came to pick up their child.
Police are concerned because Seemberjeet was suffering from anxiety and depression.
She reportedly took a taxi from her home at about 10 a.m. Oct 23 and was dropped off in the Salts Mill area of Saltaire about half an hour later.
CCTV footage showed she spent around three hours in the park where she used to go regularly with her child.
The last sighting was on the canal towpath, and after that there was no clue about her.
“Our searches are focusing on the area around Roberts Park and Shipley Glen,” detective superintendent Scott Wood said.
“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw her in the park after 1 p.m. last Wednesday, which is the last time she was seen on CCTV.”
Stating that the focus of the search is on the river, Wood added: “She has not withdrawn any money, she has not contacted anybody, and she was vulnerable before she left.”
