Kasargod, Oct 30: They say old habits die hard. In the case of a ganja peddler who was arrested on Tuesday October 29, it couldn't be more true.
The accused, Nawaz (30), had been earlier arrested for transporting 50 kg of ganja. He was soon granted bail.
Last week, the police had intercepted a jeep transporting ganja and arrested two persons. During interrogation, they said that Nawaz was the kingpin of the ganja trade. Based on their statement, Nawaz was arrested again on Tuesday.
Nawaz, ever since he got out on bail, had been coming to the police station daily to sign the register. He was staying in a hotel for this purpose, and carrying out ganja business from there, even as he came to the police station every day!
