Kolkata, Oct 29 (IANS): Accused of being involved in the Saradha scam and subjected to multiple grilling by the investigating agencies, suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh Tuesday named a West Bengal minister for the meteoric rise of scam kingpin Sudipta Sen.
"(Transport Minister) Madan Mitra will be able to give better answers about how Sen, a small time businessman, rose to be such an important person," Ghosh told media persons after his questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its city office.
Having been repeatedly grilled by the state police and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), Ghosh had repeatedly claimed to have been made a "scapegoat" and threatened to reveal some big names involved in the biggest financial scam to hit the state.
Calling Ghosh's remarks as "unfortunate, Mitra in turn warned: "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others."
Ghosh who was earlier suspended by the Trinamool for "anti-party" activities, said the ED officials wanted to know about the deal between Bengali daily 'Pratidin' and the Saradha Group among other things.
