Hyderabad, Oct 24 (IANS): With heavy rains inundating railway tracks in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district, the railways have cancelled or diverted l trains going to and coming from West Bengal's Howrah.
The East Coast Railway has cancelled or partially cancelled some trains and diverted many trains as the track between Jhadupudi and Ichchapuram stations has come under water.
The South Central Railway has also diverted few trains.
The cancelled trains include Tirupati-Puri Express, Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Intercity Express and Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express, Cuttack-Palasa DEMU and Bhubaneswar- Palasa DEMU.
The Howrah-Chennai Coromandal Express, Horawh-Hyderabad East Coast Express, Kolkata Shalimar-Secunderabad Weekly Superfast Express, Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express, Bhubaneswar-Mumbai CST Konark Express, Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express and other trains will be diverted via Angul, Titlagarh Junctionn and Visakhapatnam.
The Trivandrum-Guwahati Superfast Express, Hyderabad-Howrah East Coast Express, Chennai-New Jalpaiguri Jn Superfast Express, Earnakulam Jn-Patna Express, Mumbai CST-Bhubaneswar Konark Express, Chennai-Howrah Express will be diverted via Vizianagaram, Titlagarh and Jharsuguda.
