Indore, Oct 22 (IANS): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev Tuesday accused the Congress party of conspiring to level false charges against him. He reacted after his brother Rambharat was booked for kidnapping after he held an employee inside Patanjali Ashram.
"I am being portrayed as a criminal. It is clear from some incidents in the recent past that I am being victimised and targeted by the Uttarakhand government and the Congress government at the centre," Ramdev told reporters here.
Explaining the incident, Ramdev said: "A worker at the Patanjali Ashram was caught red-handed stealing Rs.25-30 lakh. He was later handed over to the police, but unfortunately my rivals projected it as a kidnapping incident."
Ramdev said the Congress government in Uttarakhand is trying to infiltrate sex racketeers into the Patanjali Ashram, who are then caught and he is being projected as an offender.
