Agra, Oct 22 (IANS): A Khadi exhibition opened here Tuesday ahead of a three-day national convention of more than 5,000 Sarvodaya workers and leaders from Wednesday, deliberating on solutions for country's afflictions, the organisers said.
District Magistrate Zuher Bin Sagir inaugurated the exhibition, which will have stalls displaying products and literature about Sarvodaya and Gandhism.
Though political cynics may dismiss them, participants of the Sarvodaya movement in Agra believe they have answers to India's myriad problems.
The convention Wednesday will debate the relevance of Sarvodaya and Gandhian model of development. The convention will be opened by Maulana Wahiuddin, and will be presided over by Ramji Singh.
Subba Rao, the chief organiser of the convention, told media persons that the delegates will stay at local schools.
