Kabul, Oct 20 (IANS): Afghan security forces raided a Taliban hideout in eastern Kunar province Sunday killing six militants, including their commander, Xinhua reported citing a local official.
"Security forces backed by airpower stormed a Taliban hideout in Shigal district at 10 a.m. local time killing six rebels including their commander Mullah Mursalin," district governor Abdul Zahir Safi told Xinhua.
The Taliban militants, in retaliation, captured a 12-year-old boy and executed him on the charge of spying for security forces, an accusation rejected by Safi.
