Mangalore, Oct 20: "Ever since Narendra Modi, who has made Gujarat the number one state in the country, was announced as the Prime Ministerial candidate by the BJP, youth and old alike, and students from KG (kindergarten) to PG (postgraduation) have become crazy about Modi and decided to make him their next PM," said Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
He was speaking after inaugurating a 'Jai Narendra Modi' bike rally organized by Kotekar zilla panchayat unit at Ambika Road, Thokkottu here on Sunday October 20.
He further said, "Failures of UPA government have led country into crisis. Development in the country has taken a beating. Though Pakistani soldiers entered India’s territory and butchered our soldiers, the Prime Minister did not even give a warning. China violated the LoC by encroaching upon Indian territory but the home minister remained mum. Though there have been bomb blasts in various places the foreign minister is least bothered. Corruption has spread from the Prime Minister’s Office to the common clerk’s desk. These are signs that the UPA will erase India from the history books soon."
"During the Mughal regime, when there was injustice against Hindus, Shivaji sacrificed his life to save Dharma. When the Hindu religion was being looked down upon, Swami Vivekananda propagated and hailed it in foreign countries. Later Subash Chandra Bose and now Narendra Modi stood up to lead the country towards development," he said.
"Do not live in illusion just because Congress won the last Assembly elections despite Modi wave in some of the constituencies," he warned the Congress.
On this occasion retired armyman Venkatesh Kumpala and Tharanath Kotekar, retired officers, new voters and hundreds of students joined the party.
