Kundapur, Oct 11: Udupi district tile workers association (CITU) held a protest march in Kundapur on Thursday October 10, demanding better ESI facilities to the workers.
They demanded urgent recruitment of doctors in ESI dispensaries, timely medicine, treatment and compensation to the workers.
Implementation of ESI project for nearly 2000 workers in Kandloor, Kavradi and Gangoli, full time medical insurance unit in Kandlur with all necessary facilities and facilities to take necessary family photos either in the factories or in the dispensaries were some more of their demands.
They also demanded that their leave authorization letters should be sent by ESI to the local office instead of giving to the workers.
The protest march by shouting slogans started from Kundeshwar gate to the ESI dispensary. An appeal was submitted through the hospital chief medical officer to the director of ESI at the state and regional levels.
Kundapur region tile workers union president V Narasimha, chief secretary H Narasimha, leaders Mahabala Vaderahobali, L Narasimha, Suresh Kallagara and L Srinivasa led the protest.
