Mangalore, Mar 13: Thefts and robberies have become a routine business in the city without any time and place barrier.  The stealing of cash box from State Bank of Mysore branch at GHS Road here in the broad daylight on Monday March 13 morning is one of the best examples as how common is theft and robbery in and around the city.

The thieves who entered the SBM branch in the Janata Bazaar Building on GHS Road on Monday morning, straightaway walked into the cash counter and stole the cash box, which had Rs 1.60 lac in cash.

The eyewitnesses said that there were 3 persons in the team, which stole the cash box.  They came into the building as workers.  Nobody paid attention to them thinking that they could be the workers who had come for work in the bank.  However, it is quite stunning to know that no one in the bank observed them walking so royally into the cash counter and fleeing the place with the cash box.

A complaint has now been filed in the Pandeshwr police station in this regard.  The sniffer dogs too have been summoned to the place.
