Athens, Oct 10 (IANS): A group of hooded perpetrators attacked the office of Greek Shipping Minister Miltiades Varvitsiotis Wednesday evening with petrol bombs, causing material damages. No person was, however, injured in the attack, police said.
Seven people participated in the attack at the central district of Kolonaki in Athens, forcing employees out of the office before starting the fire and fled, reported Xinhua citing witnesses.
As a police investigation is underway to identify, trace and arrest the assailants, Varvitsiotis, government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou and political parties condemned the attack, stressing that "democracy cannot be terrorised".
