Mangalore, Oct 8: Even as police continue their efforts to solve the mystery behind the death of 18-year-old Akshata, the parents of the missing boy Madan, who was her college mate and who is said to be the prime suspect, have been making a desperate attempt to find their son.
Akshata (18), a second year BCom student from a college at Car Street, was reported missing and two days later, her body was found at the riverside in Bolar. Her friend Madan has been since then.
Having found no clue as to the whereabouts of Madan, his parents consulted a black magician in Kanyana, who listened to their problem and told them that Madan had died on the banks of Netravati river at Mulihitlu Bolar. He suggested that they search for his mortal remains by digging up the area.
The black magician also indicated the area to be searched and his assistants made the markings accordingly.
On Monday October 7, as per the directions given by the black magician, Madan’s father approached Ambulance Annicha who is an expert in searching for human remains. Annicha and his team came to the river bank and dug for more than three hours.
However, they couldn't find Madan's body or any clue whatsoever.
When they didn’t make any progress, Madan’s father consulted the black magician again over the phone. He steadfastly said the diggers should continue the search and not leave the place. Annicha and his team carried on the work, but finally, as it was beyond dusk, they grew exhausted and stopped the work.
And meanwhile, the missing Madan continues to remain a mystery. It is rightly said, when frustration and helplessness cross human limits of endurance, reason takes a backseat and people try anything out of desperation. That is what happened in this case too.
