Pakistan high commissioner in Hyderabad


Hyderabad, Oct 5 (IANS): Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Salman Bashir, arrived here Saturday on a two-day visit.

He will plant a tree at Biodiversity Park Sunday. The foundation stone for the park and the National Biodiversity Museum was laid during the UN's global biodiversity convention last year.

The high commissioner will attend a lunch hosted by Syed Vicaruddin, editor-in-chief of "Rehnuma-e-Deccan", a Urdu daily and will interact with media persons.

On Monday, he will visit the CII Green Business Centre and address an interactive session organized by the Confederation of Indian (CII) Andhra Pradesh chapter.

The envoy will also visit Ramoji Film City and meet ETV Media Group chairman Ramoji Rao. He will attend a dinner hosted by Zahid Ali Khan, the editor of Urdu daily "Siasat".

Bashir, who is accompanied by his wife and two officials of the high commission, will visit various places of historic importance in the city Sunday and Monday before returning to Delhi Tuesday morning.
