Patna, Oct 2 (IANS): Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi is likely to meet her husband and RJD leader Lalu Prasad, convicted in the fodder scam, in the Ranchi jail soon, a party source said Wednesday.
Rabri Devi will visit Ranchi after special CBI judge Pravas Kumar Singh announces the quantum of sentence Thursday, a RJD leader considered close to Lalu Prasad said.
Before going to meet Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi will chair a meeting of all legislators, MPs and former legislators of the Rashtriya Janata Dal at her residence to discuss the party strategy.
RJD leader Ram Kirpal Yadav has made it clear that Rabri Devi would lead the party in the absence of Lalu Prasad.
RJD MP Prabhunath Singh added that the party "will work under Lalu's guidance from jail".
Lalu Prasad, former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra and 43 others were Monday convicted in the fodder scam case by a Special CBI court in Ranchi.
All of them were accused of fraudulent withdrawal of Rs.37.70 crore from the Chaibasa district treasury.
