The high-level inquiry committee, comprising Agriculture Production Commissioner Navin Chandra Bajpai and Director General of PAC Bua Singh, will look into the causes and laxity, if any, in dealing with the situation and submit their report in two days time, Principal Secretary Home Alok Sinha told reporters here.
Four persons were killed and dozens injured as anti-Bush protests turned communal and arson and violence rocked several areas of the state capital yesterday after which police opened fire.
Trouble erupted in the old city soon after Friday prayers as processionists went around trying to force shops shut in Aminabad and Kaiserbagh police station areas.
