Mumbai: Akhila Karnataka Jain Sangh holds 16th AGM

Mumbai, Sep 9: Akhila Karnataka Jain Sangh Mumbai convened their sixteenth annual general body meeting at Pejavar Math auditorium, Santacruz (East) here on Sunday September 8. 

Sangh president B Muniraj Jain presided over the meeting.

Sangh honorary chief secretary Pavananjay Ballal, honorary treasurer P Anantaraj, honorary secretary Santosh M Jain, treasurer Sampat Kumar S Jain, women wing president Vani Vaidya, Jaya A Jain and others were present on the dais.

The annual report, annual accounts were approved and Nirmal Kumar was appointed as internal auditor, besides sixteen-member executive committee was formed. 

Retired Professor B P Nyama Gowda of Alagoor Jamakhandi Kusumavati Veerji First Grade College in his religious lecture explained the Jainism and different religious practices. He laid emphasis on Dashalakshana Parva and Dasha Dharma that would enhance the understanding of Jainism among the community brethren.

The Sangh office bearers, women wing vice presidents Sujata Bharat Jain and Reshma Santosh Jain, secretaries Kavita Jain and Supriya Manish Hegde were also present.

The financial assistance was awarded to economically-weaker students of community on the occasion.

Muniraj Jain in his presidential address urged the community to be united for the welfare of brethrens. The Sangh members Nemiraj Adikari and Jagatpal Jain also spoke on the occasion.

The devotional singing programme and variety entertainment programme were staged by the women members and their children on the occasion.

Pavananjay Ballal compered the programme. Santosh M Jain proposed vote of thanks.
