Mumbai, Feb 18: The Maharashtra government on Saturday confirmed that bird flu had resulted in the recent deaths of chickens in Nandurbar and Dhule districts of the state.

Confirming instances of avian flu, Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Minister Anees Ahmed said the high-security animal laboratory at Bhopal has confirmed that the deaths were caused by bird flu.
