Mangalore, Sep 7: The staff and students of Lourdite family gathered to celebrate the feast of Nativity of Mother Mary, on Saturday September 7. The Catholic students started off with the Eucharistic celebration at Bejai Church.

A short and meaningful programme was held at LCS grounds. Shantika of Class VA welcomed the gathering and beautifully narrated the significance of the Nativity of our Blessed Virgin Mother. This was followed by a tableau narrating the story of the birth of Maria Bambina.

Dr Victor Machado, manager LCS addressed the staff and students and extended festive greetings to the LCS family, in the presence of principal, Fr Michael Lobo and assistant parish priest Fr Sunil.  Lourdites from KG 1 to Class 8 walked devotedly towards Mama Mary to offer floral tribute followed by Class 11 and 12 who also offered flowers and greeted Mother Mary on her birthday.

The choir of LCS sang melodiously under the guidance of Ivan and Joel Frazel delivered the vote of thanks.

The festive celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets to the children.
