Bantwal: Bajrang Dal, HJV activists clash again, two injured

Bantwal, Aug 31: Close on the heels of the attack on HJV activist by Bajrang Dal at Kumpala, clashes erupted between Hindu outfits on Friday August 30 night, creating fear among people of Kalladka. However, police intervention brought the situation under control.
Clashes erupted between Bajrang Dal unit and Om Shakti unit of HJV reportedly over a petty issue, resulting in two people being admitted to hospital.
An argument arose between Bajrang Dal activist Jayaram and HJV activist Kiran, which soon snowballed into a physical fight. The situation turned tense as large number of activists of two groups gathered.
Jayaram and Kiran were injured in the fight.
Bantwal police arrived at the spot and resorted to lathi charge and brought the situation under control.
Following the clash, shops in Kalladka town were closed.
For security reasons and to prevent more clashes, police forces have been deployed in the area.
