New Delhi, Aug 20 (IANS): The national capital woke up to a pleasant Tuesday morning, with the minimum temperature recorded two notches below average at 24.4 degree Celsius. The Met office has forecast light rains in some parts of the city.
"The skies will remain generally cloudy with light rains in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 32 degree Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 83 percent.
The city received 13.0 mm of rainfall since 8.30 a.m. Monday.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the capital has received 650 mm of rainfall, 44 percent above average.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded a notch below average at 32.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
