Karkala, Aug 12: Ramith Kumar from Karkala Bhuvanendra College has been elected as the Udupi district president of Mangalore University All College Student Union for 2013-14.

All college union state president Dinakar Shetty, Udupi district former presidents Dheeraj, Gautham, leaders Pradeep Karkala, Vignesh J P, Sohaibraj,Ashwith Kottary, Utham Alva, Ramith Kumar,and  Sourab were present on this occasion.

Some of the decisions taken on the occasion included establishing of a Mangalore University Sub-office in Udupi, creating an awareness programme to save students from  drugs, organizing campaigns to create awareness about the importance of voting and chosing the proper candidate, and preventing sexual assault on women and keeping  away students from criminal activities by educating them.
