IGNOU offers management, nursing and education courses


New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS): The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is offering courses on post-basic nursing, bachelor and masters programmes in education and management studies, which require students to clear entrance exams for admission, the varsity said Tuesday.

"The university invites application for management programmes, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.). The programmes will start from January 2014. The university will admit students through an entrance exam," an IGNOU statement said.

The entrance exam for the courses will be conducted across the country Sep 8, it added.

The management programmes include postgraduate diploma courses in financial management (PGDFM), operations management (PGDOM), marketing management (PGDMM) and financial markets practice (PGDSMP).

The last date for applying for the courses is Aug 8. The application form can be downloaded online and submitted to the university with a demand draft of Rs.1,000.
