Mumbai, Jul 29: The eighty-first annual general body meeting of metro based Billawar Association, Mumbai was held at Narayana Guru auditorium, Billawar Bhavan, Santacruz (East) here on Sunday July 28 morning.
The association president L V Amin presided the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, L VAmin said that the Association has been striving since 80 years to up lift the community in every sphere. It’s because of the long rage plans of Billawa community’s veteran leader Jaya Suvana, the Association has expanded its social welfare activities across the metro, said Amin.
Meanwhile, he appealed to the community youth, in order to come to the mainstream of Association activities to take active roles, because youth energy is essential for its sustenance, appealed Amin.
The association president Jaya Suvarna said that the setting up of a technical college has been a goal of Association that has to be realized with the help of community brethrens. It will benefit future generation of community to excel in technical studies.

B.M.Kotian, K.Ramachandra Pillai, R.D.Karkera, N.M.Sanil, Mahabala Katpady, M.N.Karkera, Akshay Poojary shared their suggestions on the occasion.The president felicitated chartered accountant Ashwajit Hejamady, Nidita Anand Poojary, advocate Rohini J.Salian and Umesh Karkera during the programme.
Bharat Bank managing director C.R.Mulky, chief manager professor Shekar Poojary, chief general manager Anil Kumar R.Amin, K.P.Dhananjay Adikari and others were also present on the occasion.The chartered accountant Ashwajit Hejmady of M/s Ashwajit Associates was appointed as auditor of the Association.
Nidita Anand Poojary rendered the prayers. The secretary Jyoti K Suvarna welcomed the gathering. The joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian presented annual report. The Hon.Treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera presented annual accounts. The joint secretary Harish B Salian proposed vote of thanks.
