Ishrat case: IPS officer PP Pandey admitted to hospital in Ahmedabad

Ahemadabad, Jul 29 (PTI): Senior Gujarat IPS officer PP Pandey, who was directed by the Supreme Court to appear before a special CBI court here on Monday in connection with the IshratJahan fake encounter case, was admitted to a hospital after he complained of chest pain.

Pandey was admitted to Chandramani Hospital at Shahibaug area of the city after he complained of chest pain, sources told PTI.

Dr Rupkumar Agrawal of Chandramani Hospital said that Pandey was admitted on Monday morning.

The Supreme Court had directed the 1982 batch IPS officer to appear before a trial court in Ahmedabad on July 29 and has restrained the CBI from arresting him till then.

The additional DGP was declared absconder in the 2004 fake encounter case of Ishrat Jahan and three others by the Gujarat high court on July 1.

Pandey, as the joint commissioner of police, Ahmedabad, was heading the crime branch when Ishrat, Javed Shaikh alias Pranesh Pillai, Amjadali Akbarali Rana and Zeeshan Johar were killed in an encounter allegedly with Gujarat Police on the city outskirts on June 15, 2004.

    He was sent to hospital by his Feku boss to delay his arrest. No chance he'll visit him in hospital.

    He has told his feku boss, he will blurt out everything when he is taken to SC.
    Now his life is in grave danger.
    All these type of politicians get chest pain gand pain and many more pains.
    Even if it is on stretcher they should be made to attend as per SC direction.
    Now it is NANO NANO

    Drame baazon ki kami nahi.

    He appears in office today, then goes to hospital and admits by himself and is brought in a stretcher to court. Wah..maan gaye.

    Only prayer to God is don't kill this killer by heart attack. He deserves worse than this.

    The Supreme Court should find a solution to the escape route of politicians deliberately acting to be sick and getting themselves admitted in some posh hospitals.
    All the major jails should have a small hospital wing with few beds and a resident doctor. They can have any specialists on demand.

    encounter itself means false. its a popular way to get back to our useless legal system to punish some culprits. the only problem is if this is misused on innocents. plesae redirect your investigation on innocency of people died instead for authenticity of fake encountre. if victims are innocent, death penalty should be given to shooters., if not a slap on wrist and transfer to obscure locaiton with a small suspenstion should do
