Mangalore, Jan 26: Social Work college Roshni Nilaya will host Spandana 2K6, a three-day national-level meet at the college from Friday to Sunday.
The event which has grown from a university-level meet of students of social work has risen to a stature of national-level meet on the theme towards building a humane society. Briefing the press on the same college principal Dr Jacinta D'Souza on Wednesday said that it will be inaugurated by renowned social activist of india, Ralegonsiddhi, Maharashtra Anna Hazare.
The college has already received registrations from social work colleges from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, she added.

The inaugural event will be participated by Collegiate Education Bangalore director Prof K V Kodandaramaiah and Collegiate Education, Mangalore region office joint director W Linda Christy.
Elaborating on the topics for deliberation Jacinta said that activist in people's movement Mysore Maj Gen Sudhir Vombattakere will conduct a session on Eco-social movement, while ACE Designers Ltd, Bangalore DGM-HR will conduct a session on Social work and Law and SWAM, Chennai project co-ordinator on Third Gender.
A presentation on the theme 'Childrenise the world'- to liberate children from toil will be demonstrated by sculptor artist John Devraj and his team of over 15 children from Born Free Art School, Bangalore.
