Pakistan to help Afghanistan to maintain peace: Nawaz


Islamabad, Jul 21 (IANS): Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that his government will help its neighbouring Afghanistan government to maintain peace.

Sharif was speaking while visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here Saturday where he was briefed about the foreign policy with respect to regional and international situation, Geo News reported.

Stating Pakistan would not support any group in Afghanistan in any way, Sharif, on this occasion, said Pakistan would help Afghan government to maintain peace.

He was also briefed about the proposed Afghanistan visit of Sartaj Aziz, advisor on Pakistan's foreign affairs and national security.
