Kasargod: Parents arrested for pushing minor girl into flesh trade

Kasargod, Jul 20: In a shocking incident, parents of a minor girl along with three others were arrested by the Kannur police for allegedly selling the girl and pushing her into flesh trade. Two more accused are absconding.
The arrested are identified as father of the girl Vishwanath from Allakkod, mother Radhamani and relatives Rajan, Sabhu and auto driver Azeez.
It is said that several people have used the girl for sexual gratification with the permission of her parents from the past three years. As per the information given by the girl, police have filed complaint against all the accused.
There are several others involved in the case and they are absconding, said police sources. The incident came to light when the girl was seen at Kasargod railway station and enquired by the police on suspicion.
As per the information obtained, it was minor girl's father who sold his daughter initially and later with the help of the mother, she was sold to several others.
Through investigation, it is learnt that the girl was sexually abused in various places like Kasargod, Bangalore, Kozhikode and other places.
