New Delhi, Jul 19 (IANS): The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Friday suspended two of its members of parliament from Uttar Pradesh for indulging in anti-party activities, the party said.
RLD chief Ajit Singh has suspended Amroha MP Devender Nagpal and Hathras MP Sarika Singh Baghel.
The party has asked the MPs to make their stand clear within seven days.
"The party would initiate action against them and seek their disqualification from the Lok Sabha under the anti-defection law if they did not clear their stand within the stipulated period," the statement said.
"The two have repeatedly been making disparaging remarks about RLD and also campaigning against the party. Baghel has been declared a Samajwadi Party candidate from the Agra Lok Sabha constituency," the party said.
RLD has five members in the Lok Sabha.
