Bantwal: Missing married woman turns up with new husband

Bantwal, Jul 19: A married woman from Halasinakatte in Vittal Mudnur gram panchayat limits, who went missing along with her three-year-old daughter, turned up at the police station here on Thursday July 18, with a new husband.
Nalini (23), wife of Rajesh, along with their daughter Andrita (3) and her new husband Jagadish (27) from Puttur appeared in the police station. Jagadish is said to be her relative.
Nailini told the police that she got married to Jagadish at Dharmasthala.
"My husband was addicted to alcohol. In order to give my daughter a good future, I got married to Jagadish," said Nalini to police.
Jagadish used to often visit Nalini’s house and in due course they fell in love and decided to marry. Jagadish who is working at a furniture shop in Puttur, promised to look after Nalini well.
On Thursday, discussions were held between the two families till evening. But the newly-wedded couple refused to get separated.
Rajesh has complained that Nalini and her family members cheated him.
Earlier on Wednesday July 16, Nalini and her daughter who had been to a family member's house for a function, went missing. In this regard, Rajesh had filed a complaint in Vittal police station.
