Bangalore, Jan 22: Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (S) National President H D Deve Gowda has written a letter to the Congress High Command with nine conditions such as sharing of power on the Maharashtra model, stopping of its secret links with former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramiah to be fulfilled if Congress desires to defuse the ongoing political crisis in the state.
Deve Gowda in his letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that it would be difficult for him to change the decision of Mr H D Kumarswami, who is leading a faction of JD (S) MLAs to form a new alternative government with the help of BJP.
He has asked for the direct intervention of Ms Gandhi in resolving the present political impasse and for the smooth running of the coalition set up in the state.
He has also asked for the Congress leaders to stop criticising JD (S) and its leaders besides withdrawal of the cases filed against its workers during the recent Panchayat elections.
Mr Deve Gowda has demanded the immediate appointment of chairpersons to various Boards and Corporations.
A section of the press today reported about the letter written by Deve Gowda to Ms Gandhi on January 19.
