Kasargod: Bus, truck collide at Kumble, over 25 injured

Kasargod, Jul 16: More than 25 persons were injured when a bus and a goods truck collided on NH 66 near Pervadi in Kumble here on Monday July 15 evening.
The incident took place when the Kerala government bus plying from Kasargod to Mangalore was hit by a goods truck.
The truck driver Amul from Maharashtra is admitted to a hospital in Mangalore while the bus driver Ramachandra Pille from Chengala is admitted to a government hospital in Kumble.
Vaishnavi, Prabhavathi from Mangalpady, Smitha from Paivali are recuperating in a hospital in Kasargod. Amar Singh, Pratap, Sheena, Ramesh, Suhara, Ananda, Ashraf, Abdul Rehman, Nafeeza, and Shreeshan suffered minor injuries. They received treatment at a hospital in Kumble.
Traffic was affected for sometime, but was restored by clearing the bus and the truck with the help of a crane.
Kumble police have registered a case.
