Mangalore: Lancy Moras to present 4th musical nite on Aug 17

Mangalore, Jul 14: Lancy Moras, who has already created a niche for himself in the world of Konkani music, is all set to give yet another rocking performance along with this troupe. The fourth musical night of Lancy Moras will be presented at Don Bosco hall on Saturday August 17 at 6.15 pm.
The evening promises the audience a plethora of dances, songs, lots of music, and rib-tickling comedy too. Singers like Monica Valder and Joseph Mathias from Dubai will perform on the occasion along with other noted singers from Mangalore.
For the first time on the stage of Mangalore, Thushara Kuruvitage, a Sri Lankan musician, will sing ‘Ye Ye Katrina’ song with Valder, which will add charm to the event. The entry to the show will be free of cost.
About Lancy Moras
Having started his singing career in childhood, Moras says that he was inspired by late Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus and received guidance from Konkan Kalashree Shriman Claud D’Souza, Bendore. He used to participate in various singing competitions since childhood and has won several appreciations.
He was born on April 15, 1965, to the late Ligoury Moras and Cecilia Moras and belongs to St Sebastian, Bendore parish. He is married to Hilda Moras and the couple has a daughter named Leonida Moushmi Moras.
Moras took Konkani music to his heart and reaped the taste of success step by step. His ealier musical nites were held on October 22, 1989, at Don Bosco Hall, second nite on December 21, 2011, at St Agnes Special School grounds and the third one on April 13, 2012, at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He has two albums, namely ‘Tujea Shetanth’ which is a Konkani devotional and ‘Milan Mogachen’, comprising melodious Konkani songs to his credit and his third album is under process and will be released by December 2013.
Moras has also composed over 75 Konkani songs and 25 Konkani devotional songs. His first song ‘Mai Toon Maka Zai’ was composed when he was 16 years and he also sang it on Akashvani Mangalore in 1981.
