Mangalore: Sheldon Crasta elected president of ICYM

Mangalore, Jul 7: Sheldon Crasta from Bendore here has been unanimously elected the new president of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) central council, Mangalore diocese.
The election was held during the 66th annual meeting of ICYM at Rosario church hall here on Sunday July 7.
Addressing the gathering, MLA J R Lobo, who was the chief guest, wished good luck to the new team of ICYM and said that youngsters should come forward through such forums and get into the government sector and the political field.
Vicar general of Mangalore diocese Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu presided over the programme. Parish priest of Rosario church Fr J B Crasta and ICYM director Fr Ronald D'Souza were the guests of honour.
ICYM units that had rendered good service were felicitated on the occasion. Balkunje ICYM was adjudged the best unit while Moodbidri unit came second and Paladka third.
