Mangalore, Jul 6: A person, who tried to project himself as having passed BBM examination by filing fake marks card, failed in his efforts, as his deceitful act got detected.
On a complaint filed in this connection by the city-based St Aloysius (autonomous) college, a case stands registered against the person concerned at Bunder police station here.
Kushalappa C D from Ponnampet in Kodagu district had got admitted into BBM degree course in the college on January 1, 2011. He however, failed to clear the examination. In the recent past, while filing job application with a concern, ‘Super Fast Consultancy’, Kushalappa had attached Xerox copy of a marks card which showed that he had passed BBM examination. As the officials of the consultancy, during the scrutiny of records, grew suspicious about this particular marks card, and as such, sent it to the principal of St Aloysius College for verification.
The principal, after finding that the marks mentioned in the marks card submitted by the said student differ from the marks card issued by it, filed a police complaint alleging that fake marks card has been created with intent to deceive.
