Poojary was speaking during the Journalism Day celebration that was organized by Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra (Regd.)at Kailas Corporate Lounge, Park Site, Vikhroli (West),here on Wednesday July 3 morning.
Poojary urged the Kannadigas settled in metro, in order to contribute towards the construction of Kannada Bhavan in the metro, urged Poojary. Poojary inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp at the occasion.
Vibrant Expotex managing director B R Rao was the guest of honor released appeals seeking donations towards the cost of building Kannada Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao urged the generous Kannadigas to contribute in realizing the dream of Kannada Bhavan in the metro.
The movie producer Gregory D’Almeida, Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra legal advisor High Court Advocate KP Prakash L. Shetty, chartered accountant I R Shetty, Karnataka Rajyotsav awardee financial consultant R. K Shetty were present at the dais.
The chartered accountant Shetty said that Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra is a powerful union of honest, hardworking and professional journalists, said Shetty. He assured his support to the organization at all times.
Prakash L. Shetty said that majority of entrepreneurs, head of community associations, artistes and achievers have immensely benefited from Kannada journalism. The dream of building Kannada Bhavan would be realized by generous support from patrons and well wishers of Kannada media, which will exemplify the unity of journalists, said Prakash.R K Shetty assured of raising funds towards the pet project of Kannada Bhavan.
Gregory D’Almeida distributed the identity cards to the members of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra during the programme. He also announced his contribution for the project.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palettady in his presidential address said that Kannadiga journalists have served the people in the metro since the past many decades. They have formed an association with a clear objective and have embarked on having own office and Kannada Bhavan. The contributions towards the cause will be better utilized with accountability, said Palettady.
Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra vice president Dayasagar Chowta welcomed the gathering. The honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal delivered the introductory address. The honorary treasurer G P Kusuma proposed vote of thanks. The honorary secretary Harish K. Hejamady compered the programme.
