Mangalore, Jan 18: Experts from Bangalore and Mysore have been invited to Mangalajyothi Integrated School in order to strengthen the school with advanced technology in the coming days, said Dharmasthala dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade.
He was speaking at silver jubilee celebration of SDM Mangalajyoti Integrated School at Vamanjoor on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old school has come a long way with patience, which is indeed significant, he added. Commending the founder-secretary of the Society for the Welfare of the Disabled Mohini A Naik, Heggade said her efforts to make the disabled self-reliant and her motherly love towards them is appreciable.
Blessing the occasion, D Ratnamma Heggade of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala said comforts and miseries are part of everyone's life. But there is no other great deed than serving for those in distress. It is the duty of the society to encourage the handicapped children instead of terming them as weak, she opined. Bantwal MLA B Nagaraj Shetty assured assistance to the institution.
Veerendra Heggade honoured DC H V Parshwanath, Christian Children's Fund former national director C S Gojer, R N Shetty Group of Companies chairman R N Shetty, businessman Appaji Naik and Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work founder-principal Olinda Periera.
Society for the Welfare of the Disabled founder-secretary Mohini A Naik was also honoured by Ratnamma Heggade and Hemavati V Heggade.
