Kundapur: Teacher killed on spot as bus smashes into bike

Kundapur, Jun 29: A bike rider was killed on the spot when a bus rammed into him on NH 66 here on Saturday June 29.
The accident occured at Nandibettu at around 5.15 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Naik (31), son of Hanumanth Naik. He was a resident of Mullikatte near Trasi, but hailed from Holanagadde, Kumta.
The accident occured when a Ganesh Travels bus rammed into his bike while he was on his way home from Kundapur. He was killed on the spot.
Prakash was a teacher by profession, employed at Arate government school.
It is said that he was staying in a rented house at Mullikatte with his wife Prema, a teacher in a government school at Noojadi. The couple have a six-month-old son named Rahul.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur traffic police station.
