Mumbai, Jun 26 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 0.15 percent down during the pre-noon session Wednesday.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,662.37 points, was trading at 18,601.51 points in the pre-noon session, down 27.64 points or 0.15 percent from its previous day's close at 18,629.15 points.
Sensex touched a high of 18,690.50 points and a low of 18,586.41 points in pre-noon trade.
The sectors which showed upward movement were IT, capital goods and oil and gas, while auto, metal and healthcare sectors were trading in red.
The S&P BSE IT index increased by 48.09 points, capital goods index inched up by 54.98 points and oil and gas went up by 21.31 points. The auto index dipped by 137.39 points, metal index slipped by 52.24 points and healthcare index dropped by 30.87 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading flat at 0.07 percent up or 3.75 points up at 5,612.85 points.
