New Delhi, Jun 25 (IANS): Ahead of the inaugural meeting of the Pak-India Joint Business Council, Pakistani High Commissioner Salman Bashir Monday held talks with the CII office bearers on prospects of bilateral economic cooperation.
Bashir held "extensive and useful exchange of views with the office bearers of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on prospects of economic and trade corporation between Pakistan and India," said a Pakistan High Commission statement here.
The inaugural meeting of the Pak-India Joint Business Council will be held in Islamabad June 29. The meeting will be hosted by Pakistan Business Council. An Indian Corporate CEO's delegation will participate in the meeting.
Monday's meeting was attended by among others, S. Gopalakrishnan, president, CII & co-founder, Chandrajit Banerjee, director general, CII, Rakesh Bharti Mittal, vice chairman and managing director, Bharti Enterprise Ltd., and S.G.K. Mohan, senior vice president ONGC Videsh Ltd., the statement said.
