Five dead in China mine fire


Beijing, Jun 24 (IANS): At least five people were killed and two reported missing in a fire that broke out in a mine in China's Inner Mongolia region, authorities said Monday.

The fire took place Sunday afternoon at Rongda Mining Limited Liability Company in Hulun Buir City when seven miners were working underground, reported Xinuha citing safety authorities.

The incident was being investigated to ascertain the cause.
