The deceased has been identified as Marwa (2), daughter of Mukhtar from Kannur, Kerala.
The family had come to the city as Marwa's mother had to be admitted for delivery of her third child. She gave birth to boy a couple of days ago.
The incident took place on June 21 at around 5 pm when Marwa was playing with her sister near the window of the hospital room. The window, without any protective grill, slid open when she pushed it, resulting in her fall.
