Mangalore: PCR vehicle smashes into truck, policeman critically injured

Mangalore, Jun 18: A policeman who was driving a PCR vehicle reportedly lost control and rammed into a truck parked near MCF here on Tuesday June 18.
Sources said that the policeman, Mohan, was on his way from Mulky when the accident took place.
Sources said that when Mohan was driving the PCR vehicle, an oncoming truck passed by him, splashing rain water on to the police vehicle, which resulted in Mohan losing control.
The PCR vehicle first hit a divider and then smashed into a truck parked nearby. While the truck plunged over the side of the road, the PCR vehicle was completely damaged.
Mohan, who was critically injured, was rushed to AJ hospital.
The truck driver who lodged a complaint claimed that Mohan was driving on the wrong side and was speeding too. A police source also corroborated the statement.
Panambur police have registered a case.
