Kasargod, Jun 16: The sudden death of a driving school owner on Thursday June 13 has given rise to suspicions.
Thilottama (40), owner of Harita driving school at Uduma, had been rushed to a hospital on Thursday after she suddenly took ill, and died later that night. She was staying in a rented house.
Police suspect that she died of poison, but it is not yet known whether the poison was injected into her or she voluntarily consumed it.
A clear picture will emerged only after the investigation is complete, said police sources.
As per the information obtained, Thilottama had left her husband and her daughter Harita was pursuing her engineering studies in Kollam.
Police also learnt that Thilottama reached Kanhagad on Thursday where she was reportedly attacked by a person named Anil. Sources also said that the two were in close contact.
Thilottama had claimed that Anil was her brother, but clear details will be obtained only after Anil is questioned, said Hosadurga circle inspector. Efforts are on to trace Anil.
