Mumbai: Vittal Sheena Shetty, Bahrain no more

Mumbai, May 19: Vittal Sheena Shetty, owner of Chefs Restaurant of Bahrain and the resident of Borivali in Mumbai, passed away on Wednesday May 15 at the Kokila Ben Hospital, Andheri west after a brief illness. He was 61.

Hailing from Moodbidri he belonged to Puchchamogaru house. He was living in Bahrain for many years and had recently shifted to Mumbai.

He has left behind his wife, two daughters.  He was the father-in-law of Prashant Shetty, owner of Seetha Fast Food Borivali.

    I knew Vittal Shetty very well. As far as I know, he was associated with Central Café, Shringar Restaurant and finally Chef Corner. Whenever I went to the Chef Corner, he would take care of me and personally bring all the English newspapers for me to read. He was a soft-spoken man, who had time for everyone.

    I am saddened to hear about his death. I offer his family my deepest condolences.
