Iran condemns Damascus bombing


Tehran, May 2 (IANS): Iranian government has strongly condemned the latest bomb attack in Syria's capital city of Damascus, Xinhua reported.

At least 14 people were killed and over 70 injured when a car bomb went off Tuesday near the old headquarters of Syria's interior ministry.

"The incident once again unveiled the real image of the terrorists in Syria for the people of that country and the world," said Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast while condemning the bombing Wednesday.

He blaming the terrorist attack on some regional and international parties who are supporting and arming terrorists and rebels in Syria.

The foreign ministry official gave a call to prevent the spread of violence and encourages a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
