Mumbai: Governor felicitates Padma Awardees from Maharashtra

Mumbai, May 2: The Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan on May 1 felicitated the Padma Awardees from Maharashtra at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. The felicitation programme was organized by the Vasantrao Naik Foundation.

The governor felicitated Dr Kanak Rele, Shivajirao Girdhar Patil (public affairs), Adi Godrej (trade and industry), Dr Nandkishore Laud (medicine) (all Padma Bhushan recipients) on this occasion.

The governor also felicitated Padmashree award recipients from Maharashtra Sridevi (art–cinema), Brahmadeo Pandit (art), Jaymala Shiledar (art),  Apurba Kishor Bir (art),  Sudha Motwani (art), professor Mustansir Barma (art), Deepak Phatak (science and engineering), professor Sharad Kale (science and engineering), Milind Kamble (Trade and Industry), Kalpana Saroj (trade and industry), Dr Rajendra Badwe (medicine), Dr Amit Maydeo (medicine), Dr S Natarajan (medicine) and Ngangom Singh (sports). Sameep Anil Pandit (bravery award recipient) was also felicitated on this occasion.
