Mumbai, Apr 15: The special general body meeting of metro based Model Co-operative Bank Limited was held at the auditorium of St Xavier’s Engineering College, Mahim (West) here on April 11.
It was presided by the bank chairman Albert W D’Souza.
The bank founder chairman John D’Silva, directors Prem Aranha, professor A P D’Souza, Abraham Clement Lobo, Lazarus Menezes, Paul Nazareth, Benedicta B Rebello and Sanjay Shinde were present at the dais.
The bank CEO Francis J A Vas informed the gathering that the special general body meeting was convened related to the amendments to Maharashtra state co-operative societies Act of 1960 in adherence to Indian Co-operative Act of 1997.
The Board of Directors approved the appointment of auditors for the year 2012 – 13.
The Mangalorean Catholic Co-operative Credit Society that was floated by a handful Mangalore Catholics in the metro has been renamed as Model Bank. It has convened its ninety-fifth annual general body meeting in August 2012.
The additional chief manager Jane Harindran and additional chief manager William L D’Souza was also present.
The bank officer Edward Rasquinha compered the programme. The bank deputy chairman William Sequeira proposed vote of thanks.
