Mangalore: Kasargod youth disappears mysteriously after arrival from Dubai

Mangalore, Mar 26: A complaint about the mysterious disappearance of a person returning from Dubai has been filed with the Pandeshwar police station here. The youth in question is a native of Trikkaripura in Kasargod district, and reportedly, he has become untraceable after reaching the city by a flight on Thursday March 21.
The missing man has been identified as Mohammed Ashraf (24), son of Muhammed Kunhi, from Trikkaripura in Kasargod district. The family had received a call from Ashraf after he reached the city on March 21. He had called from a coin box near State Bank Circle in the city to inform the family of his safe arrival.
Ashraf is said to have informed the family that he would be visiting a friend named Munif in Bangalore instead of heading for his native place. He also conveyed similar information to a person named Ibrahim based in Dubai.
Muniruddin, uncle of Ashraf, who has filed the complaint, claimes that Ashraf neither reached his friend’s residence in Bangalore, nor came home. He explained that Ashraf, who is 5'9" tall and is of wheatish complexion with normal body structure, can converse in English, Hindi, and Malayalam. Ashraf had visited Dubai on a visiting visa about a month back to hunt for a job.
The police have requested the people to convey any information if they have or may come across, relating to the above person.
